Thirteen PFLAG Columbia-Howard County members travelled to Owings Mills and the MPT studios to staff the phone banks during the showing of the film "Anyone and Everyone". This event was part of MPT's Campaign for Love and Forgiveness that continues through its second year with this moving documentary film about parents of gay youth from diverse religions and cultures. Through stories of the parents and children, the message about love and acceptance comes through.
Volunteers took phone calls from the public for referrals to local gay youth and family resources. Brother Help Thyself and the Interfaith Coalition of Maryland were among the other gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered organizations that participated in the phone bank. During the film's showing, several 90-second on-camera interviews took place with representatives of the organizations. Our Chairperson, Colette Roberts was interviewed, as was Rainbow Youth Alliance member Crystal Ogar and PFLAG Mom and Steering Committee member Pat English.
